1. Amare Stoudemire

In a 2010 interview, Stoudemire said, “I have been aware since my youth that I am a Hebrew through my mother, and that is something that has played a subtle but important role in my development.” He visited Israel that year, saying he intended “to get a better understanding of [his] heritage.

2. Rain Pryor

Daughter of Richard Pryor who was raised with her Jewish maternal grandparents, who taught her about Jewish culture.

3. Sean Paul

His paternal grandfather was a Sephardi Jewish immigrant who had emigrated from Portugal. Sean Paul was raised as a Catholic, however he was aware that he came from an old respected Jamaican Jewish family.

4. Jackie Wilson

“Jackie” Wilson was an American singer and performer. Known as “Mr. Excitement He was considered a master showman, and one of the most dynamic and influential singers and performers in history. He converted to Judaism as an adult inspired by faith.

5. Shyne

He moved to Jerusalem n which ultimately prompted his conversion to Judaism. He wears the same payots, the curly sidelocks, of that Orthodox Judaism and listens to audio files of Torah readings. He is not, however, a fan of Zionism.
