New Jersey based gospel singer Nancey Jackson Johnson is a vocal powerhouse, a singer’s singer, that is best known for her four octave range. She is no stranger to the stage having sung background for, and alongside, mega gospel legends such as: Walter Hawkins, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell, BeBe Winans, Albertina Walker and others. Johnson’s gritty, mid-tempo new single, “I’m Free” was recently serviced to gospel radio stations throughout the U.S. with a plan to roll out first CD in ten years on Donnie McClurkin’s indy label Camdon Music, sometime this summer.
“Nancy Jackson-Johnson is a fresh wind to the gospel music industry. Her return to radio is being embraced by the gospel music community. More great music awaits the masses from recording artist Nancy Jackson,” says Tracey Artist/CEO of “I Hear Music, Inc” in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Teaming up with the industry’s top producers is nothing new for Nancey. Her last release entitled Relationships in 1999 featured Michael J. Powell, J. Moss, Fred Hammond to name a few. Now, 13 years later she’s back with music producers: Kevin, Bond, Asaph Ward, Clay Bogan and PAJAM, all bringing their A-Game to the table.
“I’ve been set free from low self-esteem, from rejection, from people and their opinions of me. So I’m not ashamed to give God everything. “I’m Free” expresses who I am, explains Jackson-Johnson.
Other highlights from forth-coming summer release: “You Are Most High”, “What a Privilege,” and “Call On he Name of Jesus.”
