We live in a  world where being patient is not at the top of anyone list. We rush about doing the most with the time that we have in the hope that we will get more done. It is not necessarily the best thing done ever.

Webster dictionary defines patience as follows:

patience: 1. The capacity, quality, or fact of being patient. 2. Chiefly British The game solitaire. Synonyms: patience, long-suffering, resignation, forbearance These nouns denote the capacity to endure hardship, difficulty, or inconvenience without complaint. Patience emphasizes calmness, self-control, and the willingness or ability to tolerate delay: Our patience will achieve more than our force (Edmund Burke).

The first step to patience is allowing yourself to understand that we are nit always in control of our circumstances.Patience creates feelings of peace and calm, as opposed to the anger and frustration that often arises with impatience.

In Galatians, patience is listed as part of the “fruit of the Spirit”: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law”. (Galatians 5:21-23, NIV). In Timothy, the Bible states that “Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life”.(1 Timothy 1:15-17, NIV).

Set your mind to ease and trust that all things come in time. That is the first step. Take your time in all things you do today. Things all help your formulate patience.
