Tia Mowry-Hardrict of “Tia & Tamera” and “Sister Sister” fame is in talks to co-star in the apocalyptic action-thriller “Left Behind” being produced by Stoney Lake Entertainment (SLE). The film is based on the New York Times Best-Seller book series of the same name that has sold more than 65 million copies worldwide.
The character is being kept under wraps by producers, but SLE CEO Paul Lalonde will say that, “They will be a passenger on a plane that the film’s main character Captain Rayford Steele is piloting.”

Rayford will be played by Academy Award®-winning actor Nicolas Cage. The film also stars Ashley Tisdale as Rayford’s daughter, Chloe Steele and Chad Michael Murray as journalist Buck Williams. The plot focuses on a group of survivors during the first few hours after the rapture, an event based on a biblical prophecy in the Book of Revelation.
Production starts on April 29 in Baton Rouge, LA for a 2014 theatrical release. Stunt icon and seasoned Second Unit Director Vic Armstrong (“Jack Ryan”, “The Amazing Spider-Man”, “Salt”, “Thor”) will direct.
