When you feel powerless, you need to find a way to get your power back. Taking care of yourself is finding things that make you feel good whether that be meeting a friend you trust for lunch and venting about what is going on, getting a massage, going for a walk, working on a hobby that you enjoy, basically, doing things for yourself that you enjoy, that bring joy to your life.
Therapy, if you find the right therapist, can be a HUGE help in taking care of yourself.
Remember the 3 keys:
1- Eat Well- the body needs fuel
2- Get Rest- sleep heals the body and soul
3- Take a Time Out- a walk, listening to a song or simply a game of solitaire can recharge your body.
