Israel Houghton is celebrating 10 years  with 10. A decade is a long time! “After a decade worth of projects, hundreds of songs, thousands of nights of worship, and hundreds of thousands of people who have allowed us to usher them to Jesus, whether by way of recording or live events, I am so grateful that you gave us an opportunity to worship with you,” says four-time Grammy Award winner, Israel Houghton, to his vast, multi-cultural audience of fans in a statement.

The Houston-based worship leader recently released a double-disc collection, “Decade,” that features twenty-six of Houghton’s best-loved songs such as “Friend of God,” “Not Forgotten” and “Again, I Say Rejoice.” It also includes the infectious new live recording, “Jesus At The Center,” a mid-tempo congregational tune from his forthcoming autumn CD release, “Jesus At The Center.”  The uplifting collection is in retail stores and available at all major online portals such as iTunes, Amazon.com, Rhapsody and Spotify, among others.

Over the last decade and a half, Houghton and his band, New Breed, have become household names in the Christian music field, bridging the racial divides that often separate the church community. Along the way, Houghton has earned two R.I.A.A. certified gold records, multiple Dove Awards, two Stellar Awards, a Soul Train Award and four Grammy Awards.

“There’s one decade down and generations more to come,” Houghton adds. “We feel like we’re just getting started and we’re already putting finishing touches on the first project of the next decade.” Learn more about Israel & New Breed online at
