In his characteristically level-headed and open manner, General Colin Powell candidly addresses the “Skip” Gates Incident. He affirms that he, like every other black person in America has been a victim of racial profiling. He does not condone the practice, nor does he unjustly criticize Henry Louis “Skip” Gates. What he does is to suggest a better way, a more dignified way to handle humiliation at the hands of those who discriminate. Watch Colonel Powell’s eloquent and timely response.
