Ingredients

1 24-ounce can Bruce’s Yams

(or any brand of yams you like)

1/4 cup white or brown sugar

1/4 cup yam syrup, from can

1/4 cup butter

Instructions

Place yams in shallow baking dish.

Combine syrup from can, sugar and butter in saucepan,

Begin stirring to boil to thicken.

Pour sauce over yams.

Bake in 350-degree (F) oven for 20 to 30 minutes, basting frequently.

This is a hot in my house. My mother  would often add  cinnamon and stick that back in the oven for 10 minutes.
