The Disney Channel has created its first-ever competition exclusively for kids and tweens, called “Make Your Mark: Ultimate Dance-off Shake It Up Edition.”
Six finalists have been selected to compete at the event in Hollywood, and viewers will ultimately decide the winner.
The winner will be featured on an episode of “Shake It Up!” as a spotlight dancer. Nineteen-year-old starlet Selena Gomez will serve as a judge on the television special, along with fellow Disney actors Roshon Fegan and Debby Ryan.
The finalists are from varying states and between 10 to 15 years old. The competitors include two dancing duos and a large group of four in the contest for the Grand Prize.
Disney’s hit teen sitcom series “Shake It Up” premiered in 2010 and has been renewed for a second season, which began last month.
