Ms. Thompson-Scretching’s work has been reviewed and recognized by a variety of newspapers, magazines & media, namely, The New York Times, The New York Post, The New York Daily News, The Amsterdam News, The New York Beacon, Channel 7 Eyewitness News, Timeout Magazine, In-Theatre magazine and The New Jersey Star Ledger. She is endorsed by James Jennings, Artistic Director & founder of “The American Theatre of Actors” , home of “URINETOWN,” where stars like Bruce Willis, Dennis Quaid, Danny Aiello, Kevin Spacey, Harvey Keitel and Edie Falco got their starts. Ms. Thompson-Scretching was not only a 1997 AUDELCO nominee, but also the first and only African-American female recipient of three (3) Jean Dalrymple Awards. She won BEST Playwright, Drama in 1996 & 97 for “You Shouldn’t Have Told”, BEST Comedy for “Four Men On A Couch” in 2000 and BEST Play for “Fall From Grace” in 2004.
