There’s more than a couple new are some new Barbies coming to stores near you, and these latest additions are just in time for International Women’s Day.
Barbie is doing their part in celebrating the powerful women all around us by launching 14 dolls that represent some of our favorite modern-day role models. Some highlights from the slew of new dolls include 17-year-old Asian-American snowboarding champion Chloe Kim, filmmaker Patty Jenkins, 19-year-old conservationist Bindi Irwin, and UK boxing champion Nicola Adams.

The company is also introducing the “Inspiring Women” doll series, which features famous aviator Amelia Earhart, Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, and mathematics pioneer Katherine Johnson, whose work for NASA was highlighted in the blockbuster film “Hidden Figures.”
It’s awesome that Barbie is not only honoring some legendary women, but also highlighting newer role models as well. Check out the next few pages to see the full list of the new Barbies and some info about the dope women being honored.
Among the other 14 Barbie-fied women are: Çağla Kubat, a windsurfer from Turkey, Hélène Darroze, a world-renowned French chef, Hui Ruoqi, a volleyball champion from China, Leyla Piedayesh, an Iranian immigrant designer and entrepreneur from Germany, Lorena Ochoa, a professional golfer from Mexico, Martyna Wojciechowska, a Polish journalist, Sara Gama, captain of Juventus and Italian national soccer team, Xiaotong Guan, an actress and philanthropist from China, Yuan Tan, a ballerina from China, and Vicky Martin Berrocal, an entrepreneur and fashion Designer from Spain.
