NBC is continuing their courtship of the Christian audience. They have tapped one of the most successful main stream television Christian actors in Hollywood. They chose Kevin Sorbo.
NBC has announced the upcoming broadcast of winter series ‘Miracle Man‘. The new television centers on Jason Greene (Kevin Sorbo), a decorated Army Ranger who is nearly killed in Afghanistan. Haunted by the experience, he’s discharged and returns home to a wife who’s left him and an adult son he barely knows. As Jason struggles to piece his life together, he discovers a power – the ability to make miracles happen, marvels often small but real that can change people’s lives. Jason, tough and skeptical, is on a quest to discover why.”
Kevin Sorbo has been involved in a few successful Christian films. He is in the sequel to ‘God Is Not Dead 2‘ and starred in the Christian sleeper hit ‘Hope Bridge‘ The 57-year-old father-of-three often speaks openly about his faith and dedication to spreading the Christian message of goodness and salvation through his work. He’s also very candid about his belief that Christians in Hollywood are continually targeted by the secular media.
‘I think being a conservative in Hollywood and being a Christian in Hollywood, you get attacked. It’s so strange to me that the media sits there and protects the things that they protect, or they ignore the things that they ignore, and they go after stories like global warming-like that’s more important than what’s going on in the world right now with these terrorists.’
Kevin has been doing quite a bit of work in the Christian arena.
