‘This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you.-    2 Timothy 1:6

Are you on fire?

Music by default invokes a  tremble. It should. Sometimes we are repulsed, but sometimes a song’s lyrics are so powerful we are challenged, inspired or uplifted. That is the reason why Wiz Khalifa‘s new song ‘See You Again’ is resonating with so many. Below is a song that many  of you may be familiar with. It is from Lecraes album ‘Anomaly‘.

Watch the video below:

The lyrics:

We’ve been given a call/ Been forgiven, risen, we livin’ to give him our all

Rise up from your past it’s holding you down

This moment is all that matters the future is now

How will the people know if we don’t tell ’em if we fail ’em

They stumblin’ in the dark but the light is what we carry

Yea, don’t have to wonder your purpose or what you here for

Reflect his image and show the world what he cares for

Unfortunately, I feel that there are many more “professing” Christians than true Christians. Christians should be equipping themselves with information on how to spread the  message effectively. We go through years of “higher” education, yet how many people are out there getting a “Higher” education? How many people are joining small groups with their churches that teach people how to witness? How many people are reading their Bible’s daily to learn the answers to questions that will come up?

In these trying days, we have no choice.  We need to bring forth a word, stand our ground and not back down. When did Christians become wimps? Jesus never backed down. There will be times when the world will try to pin us down about what we believe. They will tighten the screws on us and try to make us squirm because we think differently than they do. My friends, I submit to you that we have no reason to back away from what we are. We have no reason to be ashamed of what we are. We have no reason to be ashamed of Who we belong to.

The advice Peter gave us 2,000 years ago is still just as valid today:

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.“, 1 Peter 3:15-16.

Therefore, even when the world doesn’t understand you, blaze on!
