Apparently it is now black people’s responsibility to “kill the N-word,” according to Piers Morgan in his latest op-ed entitled, “If black Americans want the N-word to die, they will have to kill it themselves.”
And what a joke that is.
Piers Morgan didn’t tell us anything we don’t already know. A lot of black people use the N-word, but don’t like when people outside of the race use it. No joke, Sherlock. But his point is to say if we (black people) want to abolish the N-word then we have to stop using it.
Piers goes into some weird rant about beating and whipping the N-word out of our vocabulary. “But this will ONLY happen when America’s black community applies the same level of tolerance to its own use of the word,” Piers rambles.
Uh, no. That is where you are wrong, sir.
Even if black people stopped using the word today, there’s a large group of non-black people that will continue to use it in the offensive way it was initially designed. Why? Because the N-word was something white people made “a thing.” And now because some white people feel uncomfortable with it, they want black people to take the blame for it, take it back and essentially clean up their dirty work.
