30 Rock star Tracy Morgan is in intensive care following a serious crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.
The comedian’s limo bus collided with a pair of tractor-trailers north of Trenton around 1 a.m. on Saturday. State police tell Philadelphia’s NBC10 that one of the truckers was to blame. Reports say six vehicles were involved, all told.
Morgan was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick. Police say one of the passengers from his bus has died; three others were critically injured and one is listed as being in fair condition.
Morgan performed Friday night at the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino in Dover, Delaware, the venue said. Good Morning America reported his condition as critical. Tracy is the father of 4 children.
Another comedian was riding with Tracy last night — Ardie Fuqua was the opening act in Delaware. Ardie tweeted pics of Tracy on stage and of himself standing next to the bus.
In a Facebook post he wrote, “We traveled back to NYC in style in a luxury Mercedes Sprinter. Road life is a good life!”
12:00 PM UPDATE: Tracy’s rep says the comedian’s family is with him now and he’s currently receiving “excellent care.” Doctors don’t anticipate a change today to his current condition.
6/8 /14 10:07 am UPDATE: Medical details have been given by Tracy’s reps. He has sustained a number of injuries including a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs.
