With judging eyes watching, the drama runs deep as the girls struggle with living up to the expectations of their parents and their congregations Season 2 focused on four families with distinct issues. This season they ladies gave valid lessons for life we should all apply.
Lesson # 1
Your actions speak louder than words. Keep your word – All the young ladies this season were so busy trying to be cool that they had completely disregarded their parents orders. As adults we often fall into this trap. Megan, Taylor and Tori put themselves at risk when they did not keep their word. Teryn and Chad struggled in their marriage because they needed to be patient in keeping their word to each other.
The bible says: But whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him. (1 John 2:5 )
Lesson # 2
Forgiveness Works– Teryn and Chad finally renewed their vows and had to understand that they had to forgive. She struggled with forgiveness the whole season. Forgiveness allows you to open yourself up to love. Forgiveness allows you to embrace everything around you.
The bible says: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.(Ephesians 4:32 )
Lesson #3
There is Always Hope- Tori’s fall into depression and addiction was difficult to watch. She struggled because she was lacking the love and hope that she needed. Essentially after a hard road she just gave up on herself and buried her feelings in drugs and alcohol.
The bible says: Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (Romans 12:12)
Let’s hope Season 3 is as interesting.
