It’s (nearly) the end of 2013 – which means it’s also time for end-of-the-year roundups. While everyone is documenting the best of the best for the past year, President Obama is talking favorite TV shows.
Color me shocked, but Obama isn’t one to indulge in a good RHOBH marathon. He tends to go for shows that reflect reality (or, at least his reality). According to the New York Times, the president tunes into shows like Showtime’s “Homeland” and Netflix’s “House of Cards”, both of which take place in a reality-bending version of Washington D.C.
The president recently joked at a White House meeting that he admires Frank Atwood, the power-hungry politician lead in “House of Cards”.
“I wish things were that ruthlessly efficient,” Mr. Obama was overheard saying to the CEO of Netflix. “This guy’s getting a lot of stuff done.”
The president is currently watching the blockbuster AMC hit “Breaking Bad” on DVD. He’s also a fan of the HBO heavyweight “Game of Thrones”, “Boardwalk Empire”, “Dowton Abbey” and “The Wire”, which Obama has repeatedly referred to as one of “the greatest shows of all time”.
