Singer Thalia is releasing her first children’s book – and flash sales site Gilt City is helping her celebrate.
The book is titled “Chupie: The Binky That Returned Home” and is published by Penguin, the house behind household names like Winnie the Pooh, Peter Rabbit, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In addition to penning the book, Thalia also created some of the illustrations featured on the pages. She dedicated the book to her daughter, Sabrina.
“This is a story that I developed as a personal technique that worked for me to take away Sabrina’s binky,” she said in an interview with Latin Times earlier this year.
Gilt City is offering a chance for fans to purchase tickets to the launch event, taking place on November 6 at The New York Public Library’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. Thalia will be performing readings of the book in both English and Spanish, and all Gilt guests will receive a signed copy of the book.
Coordinating with the book launch, Gilt will host a series of sales (also on November 6) that feature the recording artist’s favorite NYC restaurants, brands, and hotspots.
