School time is around the corner. Here are some starter tips to get you back in gear.

Sleep!  Experts say school-age children — kindergarten through eighth-grade — should be getting about 10 hours of sleep while three- and four-year-olds might need 11 to 13 hours, including daytime naps.

Schedule the kids’ flu shots, teeth cleanings, or eye exams while you still have free time. Now is the perfect time to make that eye appointment. Your little one can get use o glasses!

Make lists of chores for each child, so the routine will be established before homework and after-school activities get in the way.

Set up an inbox and an outbox for school papers and correspondence. Staples offers great metal boxes that fit well on the refrigerator.
