Who is Deitrick Haddon? Deitrick Haddon is one of six pastors profiled on “The Preachers of L.A.,” a new reality TV series due to debut on Oxygen in the fall of 2013. Haddon is also a successful actor and Grammy-nominated gospel singer, songwriter and producer. A Detroit native and son of a bishop, Deitrick has been involved in the church for much of his life. He began preaching at the age of 11 and leading his church’s choir at 13, and following a stint as head of the Kingdom Culture Church, which he inherited from his father, he moved to the West Coast—hence his involvement in “The Preachers of L.A.”

“Who is Deitrick Haddon?” is a question readers of gossip blogs need not ask, as he’s been in the news quite a bit over the last few years, thanks to his divorce from gospel singer Damita Haddon. In August 2012, Deitrick announced that he and Damita had split up, writing on Twitter, “Our breakup is NOT recent, it’s been well over a year process….God is with us but no longer as a couple,” according to DaGospelTruth.com. In 2013, Deitrick shocked fans news he was engaged to marry a woman he’d fathered a baby girl with in 2012. Reports suggest the bride-to-be is a 20-something woman from Los Angeles, and while supporters have questioned his actions, Haddon has defended himself via social media, insisting that he continued to walk with God.

The enemies agenda in 2012 wasn’t to give me a bad name but he wanted to take me out.”

Who is Deitrick Haddon? “Preachers of L.A.” will answer that question. “A dynamic personality, singer, songwriter, and preacher, Deitrick finds himself at an impasse in life,” the Oxygen press release reads. “Which road will he choose?”
