    lecraeOne of the most competitive categories in the first annual Digital Gospel Music Awards, presented by Elev8, is undoubtedly Best Male Gospel Artist. Congratulations go out to all of the nominees, but LeCrae dominated the competition and pulled in 33% (746 votes) of the 2,225 votes cast in this category. Kirk Franklin was the runner-up with 11% (260 votes).

    VaShawn Mitchell, Earnest Pugh and Lonnie Hunter finished third through fifth, respectively. Deitrick Haddon, James Fortune, Donald Lawrence, Isaac Carree and Brian Courtney Wilson, round out the top 10 of the Best Gospel Artists of 2011. But Gospel music fans also showed their support for Marvin Sapp, William McDowell and Mali Music by submitting the most write-in votes. Congratulations to all!
