Being an NBA superstar is tough enough, but opening your relationship to the harsh glare of reality TV is another matter entirely. “The Insider With Yahoo” co-anchor Kevin Frazier sat down with Los Angeles Clippers forward Matt Barnes, who opened up about his relationship with VH1’s “Basketball Wives LA” star Gloria Govan. “We opened ourselves up for this, so we got to kind of take the punches.” Gloria was on the reality show for two seasons, and the public intrusion of reality TV was a source of strife for the couple.

    Matt confesses:

It was a disaster, it was a nightmare. It kind of opened the door to a normally private situation.

    On V. Stiviano:

Los Angeles Clippers’ small forward Matt Barnes used his social media following to help track down the alleged murderer of his aunt and it may have led to his arrest.

    He tweeted:

“Michael Williams, suspect in the 24th street homicide, is in police custody thanks to a citizen tip. He was located in the Sacramento area,”

Following the announcement from the police that Williams had been taken into custody, Barnes tweeted out a thank you to his supporters.

“Having the platform that I had, I want to speak out on social media and I got some of my other friends to repost it and really just have the whole city of Sacramento on the lookout for this guy,” Barnes told ABC on Tuesday.

Good for him.  We wish him all the best!
